Sacla - Pesto

The Task:
Following the introduction of low priced, me-to, own label products, we were asked by Sacla to review the Sacla brand positioning and redevelop the brand with a more iconic and distinctive look and feel.

The Insight:
Sacla transforms your food life. We knew that Sacla had a very well established reputation with scratch cooks for adding a bit of a wow factor to food. However, consumers were blind to any of their other product offerings beyond their core pesto range.

The Response:
We developed a brand proposition that helped set Sacla apart; ‘Real Italian wow how through our family know how’. Making their core pesto range more iconic was key. The previous red, white and green, although significantly Italian, is a widely trodden path, and in our opinion the cooks copper lid was a key point of difference that should be added to the architecture for core pesto.

We developed a flexible three tier brand architecture (previously two tier) that allowed for range personalities to be created across their portfolio whilst all sitting under an iconic master-brand, hence the tessellating white flourish.
